NSW: Gonzales taped conversation to force prostitute to testify

A court's been told that a Sydney man accused of slaughtering his family taped a conversation
with a prostitute in order to force her to back his alibi.

SEF GONZALES is standing trial in the NSW Supreme Court, accused of murdering his parents
TEDDY and MARY LOIVA, and his 18-year-old sister CLODINE at their North Ryde home on July
the 10th, 2001.

A prostitute, who cannot be named, has told the court that GONZALES tried to pressure
her in March 2002 into testifying he was with her on the night of the murders.

She told the court that GONZALES bombarded her with text messages on her mobile phone
to try to persuade her to back up his alibi.

The trial continues tomorrow.
