May 01--Kandiss Schroeder began having nightmares about Hurricane Katrina three weeks ago, long after the storm destroyed her family's Metairie, La., townhouse and most of their belongings.
The dreams of being stranded by the storm started because her family is being shuffled between two federal agencies that are supposed to help them and because of the agonizingly slow pace of trying to get an emergency loan to help them start a new life in Tennessee, she said.
