FED: Federal Minister secretly repaid travel claim report
MELBOURNE, Jan 16 AAP - Special Minister of State Senator Chris Ellison reportedly breached
federal parliamentary regulations, then secretly repaid a travel claim of more than $1,000, it
was reported today.
The Herald Sun said documents released to it under freedom of information showed that in
1996 Senator Ellison, then Schools Minister, flew four Liberal Party delegates to a party
conference on a light aircraft at taxpayers' expense.
Senator Ellison had admitted in a confidential letter last year that none was an MP,
