Fed: Dead girl s family upset at hospital demolition let off

CANBERRA, Feb 9 AAP - A decision to drop manslaughter charges against the shot-firer
for the Canberra Hospital implosion has devastated the family of the 12-year-old girl
killed during the botched demolition.

The family of Katie Bender, who was struck by flying debris from the failed implosion
three and a half years ago, said they were disappointed by the Director of Public Prosecutions'
(DPP) decision not to go ahead with criminal charges against shot-firer Rodney Douglas
